Uscom attends the 30th Annual Meeting of the ESPNIC in Salzburg, Austria

Uscom attended the 30th annual meeting of the European Society of Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care (ESPNIC) from June 19-21, 2019. This meeting provided a platform for the presentation of the latest advances in peadiatric and neonatal intensive care from experts in these fields from around the world.

More than 500 paediatric specialists attended the meeting, and many were USCOM 1A luminaries from some of the world’s leading paediatric centres. Of note were also the large number of USCOM 1A users who took the opportunity to visit the booth and introduce themselves.

As pictured above, the Uscom booth was visited by Dr Cucui-Cozma and her team from the paediatric ICU at the Timisoara Regional Emergency Hospital, Romania. Dr Cucui-Cozma and her team have been using the USCOM 1A in emergency and ICU paediatrics for over 8 years since it was purchased by the Timisoara Lion’s Club from Uscom Sydney.  The device is in routine daily use by Dr CuCui-Cosma and her team and is used to implement advanced haemodynamics as a routine in all paediatric patients, particularly those in septic shock.

Uscom also introduced its new European sales marketing team based in Budapest at Uscom. Zsofia Kertesz and Tamas Vitrai, pictured above, are leading the new arm across Europe and will begin the distribution of USCOM 1A and the BP+. Uscom in Budapest will begin selling all Uscom technologies immediately as well as providing technical and clinical support. Having a European based support system for direct sales, and supporting dealers is a significant step for Uscom and should lead to significant increases in European sales across the range of Uscom products.
