Asia and ASEAN Distribution with BD Manager Appointment

Uscom has appointment of Mr Ng Jih Nang as South East Asian Distribution and Business Development Manager. Mr Ng is an experienced medical distributor and business manager and will be employed through Uscom’s new Singapore Regional Head Quarters.
At the same time the Singapore Medical Device Register (SMDR) listed the USCOM 1A, BP+ and SpiroSonic devices for sale in Singapore under the supervision of the Singapore Health Sciences Authority.

World Hypertension Day

World Hypertension Day is observed every May 17th in order to raise awareness and promote hypertension prevention, detection and control. High blood pressure is the main risk factor to develop cardiovascular disease. This year's theme is "Measure Your Blood Pressure Accurately, Control It, Live Longer"

The presentation summarised Uscom’s achievements in the last 6 months and its current strategy going forward. The presentation described the recent Foxconn Beijing partnership and operational shift to a new hub in Singapore designed to minimise the commercial damage of the deteriorating Australia China trade relationship.

SpiroSonic AIR FDA 510K filed and New US Distribution

Uscom has filed a 510K application for clearance of SpiroSonic spirosonometric devices and accompanying SpiroReporter apps and software to the Centre for Devices and Radiologic Health of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The submission has been received by the FDA and allocated a processing number (K220982) with a series of responses due over the next 60 days. FDA clearance, if received, will allow for sale of the SpiroSonic technologies in the US. The SpiroSonic devices contain patent protected spirosonometry technology which includes digital vocal user guidance, phonic outputs and autodiagnostic interpretation.
